garage sale!
the kid near the table picked up an old super-8 camera and was asking about it. he just clearly did not get the concept of film. i don’t think that he has ever seen, let alone used any camera that was analogue whatsoever. considering the beauty and depth of output that only film gives, i think it’s a little bit sad. i will be teaching my kid about film, that’s for sure.

hotel humour – judging by the quality of their linen and towels, i think their prices are pretty bloody good. should have met with the executive housekeeper to work out a deal. don’t touch the mini-bar – hit the softgoods! stealing from your hotel has never been more cost-efficient!

if you ever go to a store and you see a carpark full of trolleys like you see her, i think it;s a pretty good warning sign that you should avoid this place on weekends AT ALL COSTS!

who cuts your hair man? your head will collapse.. met these guys in the line for the toilets at The Pixies tonight. they were having a great old time getting pissed and stumbling about. awesome to see the pixies play sydney’s hordern pavillion. great band, great venue and great show as well.
funny to see all these kids seeing a band that I was enjoying while they were still crapping their nappies – though i’m sure some of the crowd at the AC/DC show in brisbane last week would have said exactly the same thing about me!

went cycling today in western sydney and came across this – i think it was the largest public works at the time and gave sydney its water back in the early 1800′s. It’s a great bike path which goes for over 40km, with hardly any roads to ride on at all. you can see a map and read for about it here, if cycling is your thing.

sensational. these guys make their own dumplings and fat noodles fresh daily – and you can really taste the difference – so can the dozens of people out front waiting for a table. a word of advice though, when the woman out front tries to spruik you in like she’s working a strip joint in the cross, her definition of 5 minutes equals about 15-20 of our understanding of minutes.
