if you are not interested in surfing, but love great photography, i suggest you skip to video #2 – then come back. you Will watch video #1 i think. I can watch #2 over 100 times no worries. the photography and the surfing is just magnificent.
number 1 – those fucking crazy nutters from the bra sufing ‘ours’ off kurnell. the video just does not give justice to how close the wave breaks to the rocks, check it out:
video #2
this is just stunning. the photography in this is just world class, as is the surfing. brilliant. watch this one in FULL SCREEN - Mike Parsons in Billabong Odyssey enjoy:

i really don’t know why i bother with this place anymore.
i hate to say it, as the owners seem really quite friendly. the maltese cafe on crown street, surry hills used to be awesome – up until it was sold by the original owners a million years ago. the first new owners were really quite dirty and made sloppy pastizzis, i think it has changed hands a few times since then.
i’m pretty sure the current owners just buy the pastizzis in frozen. so then, why would i bother coming here, when i can just buy frozen pastizzis from my greengrocer? i suppose i am just lazy.
if you want the real deal, the original owners have opened the pastizzi cafe newtown, though i haven’t been there in a year or so.

who needs instamatic, when you have a phone that takes photos and a great picture to shoot?
well, i like this photo of moore park golf course at 7am. lots of crap on my windscreen and a few raindrops.
i think ineed to change my wipers.

well it is just a photo of a kid having fun – not actaually a looter. it just seemed to fit the mood at time of posting. i hope you are not alll ticked off with me.
now for a soundtrack for angry disaffected youth who just want to smash shit up for the sake of it:

seriously… there seems to be some cock fascination going on here in sydney of late.
yes, we have always competed with san fancisco in being the gayest city in the world, but it can not explain the sudden emergence of cocks popping up on walls all about town.
also, why are they ALWAYS circumcised dicks? easier to draw/spray? probably.
maybe i should start a politcal movement for uncircumicised men who are not represented in popular media.
maybe i can make it as important as the boat-people issue
dickman – you have got to love him. 4 dicks sprouting out of one head. what a dickhead.

this is a pic of the plant of continental carbon australia in kurnell.
a god awful place it is. all the foliage of the bushland surrounding the plant is coated with carbon. i went out there there and the feeling i got was that i was in a terminator movie. a horrible place planted amongst beuty and nature – also just a stones throw away from the desalination plant that provides some of sydney’s drinking water. noice.
check it out from the air care of google maps:

this one is on south dowling street near the bws. a while back i trashed some fool who painted on a tree. if you are going to damage a tree, mate at least make it half decent like this pic above.

what is it with me and lamp posts?
i guess that they are ubiquitous, common and ordinary.
they are easy to take pictures of and i guess the real underlying fascination lies in that i try to take a picture of the day. it is not easy – i need to frame boring things into something less boring.
i like this photo though.
here is some more lamp post porn.
