the brutal poodles chariot

12.07.101 the brutal poodles chariot

wtf? seems to be something around lately with vehicles with pink highlights.

the pink is a bit crazy, but the little cherub bolted (well i hope it is) onto the bonnet takes the cake for me.

the brutal poodles are a sydney band, well duo, who are pretty keen to get noticed. nothing like a bloke pulling out some falsetto. prince did it so well, but took himself too seriously. i’d give you a link, but he pulled the prince official website off in 2006, when he became a born again christian.

we can thank flight of the conchords to make the man falsetto thing fun again, i think.

you can check out the brutal poodles music on their myspace page. below i’ve posted one of their clips – a song called ‘star’. check it out, i think they could be good fun to see live.

good luck boys, oh and maybe wash your car, the birdshit eats the duco.

retro caravan pic

15.05.10 retro caravan pic

how cool is this thing !?!?

can’t say that i would personally want one myself, strike a match and the whole thing would go up in flames (unless it has good old asbestos walls).

ah, grey nomads and the caravan life.

it made me think of the famous case in usa of someone called grazinski. this person was allegedly driving their winnebago somewhere in the us, set it on cruise control (thinking it was an auto-pilot system), then went into the back to make a cup of coffee. the campervan crashed and they sued, winning a stupid amount of money.

here is the myth-buster version. it has also shed some light and background story on the woman who won crazy money from macca’s for spilling hot coffee on herself.  well worth a little read.

why do people believe these internet myths? well i guess it reflects on the seemingly growing legal and social  phenomenon of diminsihed personal responisbility.

“i was smashed off my head and walked in the path of a fast-moving car. council hadn’t erected barriers, flashing lights, alarms and an armed guard. it’s their fault i got hit.”

no it isn’t, fool. it’s YOUR fault.

people also believe these myths because both people inside the usa and people outside the usa really believe that americans are dumb enough to do such things.

i really don’t want to be rude, but perhaps the usa should start thinking about fighting social injustice and inequality at home before they start taking the fight overseas. it would certainly help the image of the nation abroad. i’m sure it would prove a bit less expensive as well – thanks bush, rumsfeld, cheney and all your mates in the companies that you represent. thanks to for the corner-cutting that led to the bp oil spill in the gulf of mexico.

great work guys, you’ve done a fine job of representing the best interests of your nation – NOT!

BMW 1700 – cracker of a car

02.05.10 BMW 1700 cracker of a car

stumbled across this car today when going for a walk. it was beautiful and in immaculate condition.

i could be wrong, but i think it stopped production in 1975 and was re-badged. from what i’ve read,  it seems to have been a bit of a lemon and got discontinued pretty quickly. i’m happy to be wrong, but if any classic bmw enthusiast can correct me, that would be great. anyways, this set of wheels was well looked after and loved – inside and out and am sure some collector would blow cream at having one.

another 2wistd evening in parramatta rd traffic

04.04.10 another 2wistd evening in parramatta rd traffic

that’s what this guys numberplate reads. i wonder why he is 2wistd? maybe he spent more on his audio system than what the car is worth? that would be pretty 2wistd. just another 2wistd evening on parramatta road. wonder if he had a 2wistd nite wit da 2wistd laydeez? what would a 2wistd guy look for in a 2wistd LAYdee i wonder? she’d have to be pretty fucking 2wistd herself to keep up with 2wistd himself, it would be pretty hard to keep up with someone so 2wistd.  stop me, i’m feeling a little bit too 2wistd.

UPDATE!!! 17.10.2010
