the tunnel from irreversible

10.8.09 the tunnel from irreversible

I walk through this tunnel under the railway lines several times a week. i love it when I hear the trains rumbling above me and the ceiling, the walls and the floor vibrate – the place has real atmosphere.

What I don’t like about it, is that even though it looks quite different, it reminds me constantly of one of the most intense and disturbing scenes i have seen in film.

I have seen plenty of films, including plenty of disturbing films, but when i know that the mother of my child is regularly walking through a tunnel that reminds me of THAT scene in the Gaspar Noe flick – ‘Irreversible’, i just can’t shake that feeling. here is a trailer for the film – en espanol:

BTW, i found it to be an amazing film anyway and one that had to be watched at least twice to be fully appreciated – even though i went and made a cup of tea in another room while THAT tunnel scene played out (once was enough, thank you very much).

Although it does star Arnie (why and HOW does he hold Governorship?????), Total Recall was another crazy kind of backwards film that is best seeing more than once.

If you want to know a little history of Arnold Schwarzenegger, watch this clip below and you will know what cumming in heaven is all about. Do you think that he is cumming now that he can ‘bose out’ as the Governator, is he still mainl-lining steroids in old age? It’s a corker:

,

It was, in my opinion, a great film – based on a book by the Sci-Fi nutcase – Philip K Dick (who also wrote the novel behind Bladerunner).

Even though this is an blog based in Australia, a Massive proportion of readers come from the US – most of those are from Cali. Can anyone PLEASE explain to me how this man was voted in to run the state that generates SO much revenue for the national economy? I really wonder how a man with zero acting skills can become an actor. Then i wonder how a steroid-nut neanderthal non-actor can run a once prosperous state in what was once the worlds largest economy could come into power. With all due respect to my Cali brothers and sisters, who voted this fucking freak into power?

I need to come back here and re-shoot at night – when there is no ‘light at the end of the tunnel’.
